I received an anonymous email from a fan the other day claiming that they had found a “new” candid photo of Veronika taken recently on Ibiza …. since I had no way of contacting them I figured that I would set the record straight about that photo here on the blog in hopes that they would see my response …
The photo sent was actually from Set 400 shot back in May 2009 in Cape Town and not Ibiza. Veronika had posted these on her own Blog on May 18, 2009. I have attached the pics below and Veronika’s own account of those photos from her blog ….
Remember that I wrote in one of my latest blogs about my new camera? With it I did some test pictures on my Sunday time-out with my husband and dogs Lara, Lenka and Muffin. For the ones that did not read all my blogs I am spending some time in Cape Town, South Africa. The photos that I want to share with you, I took in the countryside around Cape Town and many are taken on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world – Long Beach – that is near to the village called Noordhoek, close to Cape Town. I tried to capture the feeling of freedom, space and peace, and with people, dogs and children all running freely in the harmony. Everyone there enjoyed themselves. Where in the world can you still see that?
There are two pictures of me, which my husband took just from far away so my figure is very small there, I was not wearing any make-up so I did not allow him to take anymore nearer to me – sorry!
The weather here starts to be going into winter and I finished all I wanted to achieve here so I am thinking about going back to Ibiza in Spain.
Kisses
Veronika
I love the comment about the lack of make-up … what is Veronika worried about, she still looks absolutely freakin gorgeous!!!!
Whoever you were who sent me the photo … thanks anyway. Am glad you did 🙂
This is Capetown without any doubts! In Ibiza even the sand has a nicier structure and the hills are much greener. I live (with some breaks) in Ibiza since 1988 and I had some business over the years with the couple S. I know them, but only on a surface level. It is well known that Vero – she prefers another first name now, but anyway – loves Ibiza and she lives here, very withdrawn with her very nice children (guess, you know why she has to live that way near a small town in Ibiza?). She is always very friendly, if one avoids to talk with her about her past (nearly all DJ’s here are her fan and viceversa). She has very beautiful dogs – a white irish wolfhound is new now – and two bodyguards: one regular and a very jealous husband, who loves here endlessly. I don’t know if she is lucky, but I suppose so. F. U. S. is a very rich man, indeed, but a very nice guy (around 60/65 or so), with companies all over the world, but absolutely non arrogant. Their direction is protected – I know where she lives on Ibiza) and he told me two years ago, that she closed “that page forever” as he said “For Gods sake”. More and more contents are vanishing from the net, because they are buying the rights to delete such contents because of the children. His little Hippy/Raver-Girl is a very nice being and a regular contributor to “Sa Coma” (a asylum for lost dogs and cats). I could send you some pics, but I will not do it, so please respect her private life (we have nearly the same taste of restaurants and places). She is a peaceful woman and she hates it to be molested by her past. Something about the pic from 2011: she had a bad accident in 2010/2011 and was very ill for a longer period. Anyway, you build up a nice shrine about the illusion she once was… She has moved since then…
Thank you csi for the timely response.
I fully appreciate the fact that she is trying to do everything she can to try and distance herself from her past … but the past is what it is … she made that decision 20+ years ago, but as you said she deserves her privacy in that regards and has done everything in her power to try and achieve that. I personally recognize that “Veronika the Model” was her business … not to be confused with “Veronika the Person” … so I fully respect that and and would never cross that line in “this shrine” as you call it. Although one correction is in order then regarding your statement that this a “nice shrine about the illusion she once was” … more appropriate would be “nice shrine about the reality she once was ” … it would be an “illusion” to think it applies to Veronika today. I have always tried to maintain this website as a “tasteful tribute” to her past so that if she ever did consider visiting (I have never had any “illusion” that she ever would) that she would at least not feel offended like so many other sites out there which still feature her past material today.
As for trying to expunge the internet of her past completely … I think you would have more success trying to steal the Mona Lisa from the Louvre. The internet is a very large place. Changing her name is a start to try and protect her kids, but I certainly hope that they have an open candid conversation with them when they are old enough to understand what their mother did in her past life. In today’s world you simply cannot hide from your past forever anymore … as hard as you might try … they will eventually find out sometime. She was far too prolific a model for all records of her career to simply vanish. You are better off to confront your past, accept that reality and move on and not spend all your time worrying about the repercussions.
Thanks again for providing us a little insight as to how she is doing today. I (we) really appreciate that 🙂
I find csi’s message a little disingenuous. Vron is perfectly entitled to walk away from her modelling career and start a new, private life with her family. Thousands of other models do so all the time. She is also entitled to disown her past and right to feel uncomfortable with the idea that her kids will eventually come across her photos on the web. Hubby, we’re told, is keen to buy up and close down sites that publish her photos to protect the kids. I note he has not yet knocked at the door of this site.
But you can’t have your cake and eat it. Hubby was a keen photographer and provided hundreds of nude photos of Vron for publication in the last years of her modelling career. The walls of their candy palace in SA bore huge photos of her in several rooms and were shown in the sales brochure. She also continued to work with ActionGirls and recently Scotty released more pics and videos from previous sets.
We all move on, make career changes, try to forget our past and cringe at memories. Vron came from humble origins and, through her own determination, succeeded in a very expoitative business and became famous for her beauty. Sticking to in the relatively ‘clean’ side of the industry, she has little or no fear of embarrassingly serious hard core stuff surfacing (lord knows, everyone’s looked hard enough). Unlike thousands of more forgettable women who pass through the business, Vron will be remembered as one of the most attractive models of her period. I think the kids will get over it.
¡Disfrútalo mientras puedas!
What’s the name of her blog? Do you know the URL for it?
Hi Anon …
Sorry but her “official blog” no longer exists. That ended when her site closed in Aug. 2009. I fortunately managed to save a copy of contents prior to the site closing so am able to provide quotes from it.
I plan to still add a transcript of her blog and diary entries to this website in the “Extras” section. You’ll see a place holder for it at the bottom of the “Old Website Content” section.
