New Set 445 Released

OK … here is the first of 4 new sets I promised I would release over the course of the next few weeks. One pic from this set you will likely recognize … it used to be part of the Misc. set. I came across that pic plus 2 others in a recent issue of the Australian magazine called People I had purchased. Here is a preview plus links to the full sized pics for this set.

This photoshoot was part of several which Veronika was involved with during her promotional tour of Australia in 1998. Two other sets from this tour are Sets 094 and 142.

I have never been able to figure out who the actual photographer was for these Australian shoots … in every case a pseudonym has been used to date … for example Linda Lock and Ryan. If anyone can shed some light as to the real photographer’s name then please reply.

  1. Hi Tobey …

Yes are definitely from the same photographer as Sets 094 and 142 as I had stated. As you might remember Set 142 was released in several issues of Mayfair and the photographer was listed as Linda Lock. If you try and search for Linda Lock you will find no such photographer exists. In the People issue that I extracted this new set from the photo credits were listed simply as Ryan. So that is why I think we don’t know the true identity of the photographer of this set yet. This was no different than the Gavin Vendor sets which appeared in Mayfair (ie. 206 , 207 etc.). I could also never find Gavin Vendor as a photographer. It was only late last year as I was buying some scans of those sets from Photorama that I discovered that Gavin Vendor was actually the brothers Roberto Rocchi and Franco Marocco since Photorama still had the release forms for those sets showing the exact date of when they were taken and who the photographers were.

  2. t-man,

Speaking of using different names, I think VZ must have had a couple dozen aliases, when published in different media around the world!!!!!!!!! I always have wondered if SHE had any say in the matter, or if such things were decided by writers, editors, publishers, producers, etc. Refresh my memory — wasn’t her original ‘stage name’ EVA, which apparently she liked, and then somebody somewhere leaked her real name, Veronika Zemanova? Have you been able to pinpoint who the culprit was who did that, and the month/year when that happened? btw — thanks for continually finding ‘new’ material of VZ…….I think we all appreciate your hard-work and dedication!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Harry

    1. Hi Harry …
well it could not have been long since in the very first Mayfair issue she appeared in in late 1997 she was already listed as Veronika Zemanova … so I suspect that issue is “Ground Zero”!!! I have to say that she has gone by more names than I can count as well as lived in virtually every city in Europe and has been French, German, Spanish, English and Czech of course. I doubt therefore that she had any say in that or the stories published to go along with the layouts. In most cases, those stories have been disgraceful and to be honest disrespectful of her …obviously just some stupid text published at random … I know if she had read those in advance she NEVER would have approved of them being published.
      Cheers
      t-man
